Our vision is to see people’s lives changed by a continuing encounter with Jesus. We want to incorporate innovative strategies to help people discover more about the God who loves, forgives, restores, nurtures, lifts up the broken, heals, and gives us new hope and purpose in Christ.
Our mission is twofold:
Conduct regular online services to reach people who may not be attending in-person services, as well as people who would like to be a part of the teaching ministry of Pastor Dana and Journey/New Hope. Online services are also available to be used by Micro-Churches. Journey may resume in-person services in the future.
As a missions outreach, to come alongside other pastors, ministry leaders, and churches in Utah as well as other areas of the U.S. and the world, who are engaged in church planting, or in need of ministry coaching, encouragement and assistance to advance the gospel for the glory of God.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt 28:19-20
Micro-Churches
A Micro-Church is a small group of people who gather together regularly to worship God, study the Scriptures, pray, and fellowship. They have the ability to create tight-knit communities of believers founded on the belief that every follower of Jesus plays an equal and important role in the life and mission of the church. The challenges that a traditional church may face (overhead, unexpected growth, staffing) do not affect micro-churches.
Journey is very supportive of the Micro-church concept. We may be initiating some of these ourselves in the coming days, but the online services of Journey are available wholly or in part, and freely for those who would like to utilize them for their own micro-church. We are also available to pray for you or assist in any way; just email us!
